This summer, St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation was awarded grant funding from the Francis and Gertrude Levett Foundation. The Levett Foundation provides support to non-profits that primarily advance childhood education, medical research, and community well-being.
The grant funding will purchase a Mini C-Arm for our Surgical Services Department. The Mini C-Arm is used in fracture procedures, assisting the surgeons by better visualizing the patient’s anatomy for proper fixation of the fracture site.
Kim Lemos, Director of Surgical Services, says “[doctors] love to use the Mini C-Arm. With the Mini C-Arm, there is a lot less radiation exposure for everyone in the operating room…it is quick, it is easy, [and] it’s very portable.”
A big thank you to the Francis and Gertrude Levett Foundation for funding the Mini C-Arm!
