ST. PETERSBURG, FL (Sept. 5, 2019) – The St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic will mark its 10th Anniversary by fighting breast cancer when it returns to the Innisbrook Golf Resort on Friday, Oct. 25. The four-person scramble tournament will take place on the resort’s Copperhead Course, home of the PGA Golf Tour’s Valspar Championship.
Proceeds from the tournament, which is being held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will benefit the St. Anthony’s Hospital Susan Sheppard McGillicuddy Breast Center and the hospital’s breast cancer services, which include mammography vouchers for disadvantaged women in Pinellas County.
Participants are encouraged to wear rose, fuscia, blush, flamingo, bubblegum, rouge or any other shade of pink on their polos and shirts, socks, shorts or slacks to help bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.
Tournament registration begins at 10:30 a.m. in front of Packard’s Steakhouse at the resort. Before heading to the course, participants can receive expert advice during a one-hour golf clinic hosted by Innisbrook golf pros at 11 a.m. on the Copperhead Practice Range. The resort is located at 36750 U.S. 19 N., Palm Harbor.
Lunch and beverages will be served until noon inside Packard’s. The Classic’s shotgun scramble begins at 1 p.m. Hole sponsors will serve beverages and snacks throughout the tournament.
Golfers of all abilities are welcome and may sign up as individuals or in teams of four. The all-inclusive fee of $550 per person includes fees for greens, cart, tee gifts, range balls, lunch at Packard’s and the awards reception.
The awards reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Inverness Banquet Hall. Deadline to enter is Sept. 20.
