Going Pink in October Raised Funds for Breast Cancer Programs and Services

Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

In October, the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation was the recipient of two different fundraisers geared towards funding programs and services for breast cancer patients.

The first event was Bubbles for a Cause and was hosted by several businesses in the 400 Beach area in Downtown St. Pete, including Pink Soleil, Coastal Soul Boutique, Sartorial Inc, and Sweet Divas Chocolates. The businesses donated 15% of each sale to the Foundation to support the POWER Wellness Program. The POWER Wellness Program is specially designed for breast cancer patients to empower them with knowledge, emotional support, and whole-body wellness. Kelly, owner of Pink Soleil, was the organizer of the event and she said, “We just loved the evening and would like to make this an annual event.”

The second event was the “Pink Out” hosted by USF St. Petersburg at The Nest. Students were able to donate their dining dollars to the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation to support the Susan Sheppard McGillicuddy Breast Center.

Together the events raised $1.000! A big thank you to all who attended and supported these events. We are fortunate to have such giving businesses and organizations in the community to support breast cancer patients.
