Women in Philanthropy Donates $130,000 to the Hospital

Women in Philanthropy Group

On Thursday, April 24th, the 17th annual Women in Philanthropy Luncheon was held at the St. Petersburg Woman’s Club, hosted by St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation. Thanks to the group’s generosity, members donated $130,000 to fund life-changing equipment for the hospital:

  • Servo-air Lite: As we aim to stay at the forefront of patient care and healthcare technology, the decision to replace our fleet of noninvasive ventilators is a critical step. The new fleet of ventilators comes with improved durability and higher reliability, reducing the risk of device failure and minimizing costly repairs or replacements. Investing in a more advanced fleet reduces maintenance costs, increases operational efficiency, and ultimately provides greater cost savings over time due to fewer repairs, longer lifespans, and improved energy efficiency.
  • Ultrasonic Probes: These state-of-the-art probes are designed for a variety of clinical purposes, mainly focused on surgical guidance during minimally invasive procedures. They allow surgeons to make precise decisions about tissue manipulation and biopsy locations, particularly in areas like the abdomen, pelvis, and prostate.
  • Glidescope: The Glidescope is a video laryngoscopy device that provides a clear, magnified view of the throat and vocal cords, making it easier to perform intubations even in challenging cases. This device works by having a camera on one end of it which is displayed on a small screen so the physician can see where the endotracheal tube is going when preparing the patient for intubation.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Women in Philanthropy luncheon. It’s inspiring to see our community come together to advance healthcare at St. Anthony’s Hospital. If you’re interested in joining Women in Philanthropy, click HERE.
